Free Gaza, Free Stickers Project

One of the particularly damning and horrible facts of the ethnic cleansing in Gaza has been that despite Gazans' ability to reach out, ask for help, document their suffering and communicate with us through internet technology, it has done nothing to change the hearts and minds of the people committed to supporting and continuing to commit the genocide. They know exactly what they are supporting.

And it has lead to new dynamics of genocide denial and violence. We've witnessed one of these dynamics on Bluesky, the social media app that has, for many, replaced Twitter as a place for sharing news, analysis and creative work. Gazans able to communicate in English have set up fundraisers and campaigns through sites like GoFundMe or Chuffed that they then promote through Bluesky.

But the App, and many of its users, has begun systematically marking Gazans as spam and deleting their accounts. Much like people who refuse to give to the unhoused because "they might use the money for drugs", these people prefer to blame their discomfort at an unjust world and their inability to change it on the person victimized by that world. In this instance, app moderators and regular people actively participate in a genocide on the other side of the world in the name of keeping their website more "fun" and palatable: nothing ruins the vibe like someone begging for their lives.

Contra that tendency, however, a growing surge of users have reached back out, met and talked to Gazans, supported their campaigns and built relationships of love and mutual aid. As the iron vise of blockade shuts tighter and tighter, food in the strip becomes unbearably expensive, bags of flour going for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. The need for money just for basic survival has become unimaginable, and we here at CAW want to try and find a way to amplify these campaigns and make solidarity a pleasurable, joyous thing even in these dark times.

So CAW will be offering a new fundraising drive for Gaza gofundmes, one that is not controlled by us, but which is driven by the spirit of decentralized mutual aid. Every time you donate $5 or more to a Gazan's fundraiser, send a receipt of the payment and a mailing address to MovementStickers at Proton dot Me and we will send you a sticker pack of five different Palestine solidarity stickers, completely free, no questions asked.

A tremendous amount of visual art has been produced in resistance for Gaza these last horrible months, and we have made dozens of different designs into stickers. Many of those designs come from JustSeeds collective, others from other online sources, social media and anarchist propaganda spaces, and a few designed by ourselves. So we will send you a random assortment of five.

You can do this once a day! If you donate every day and send us proof, we will send you stickers everyday! And since we have over 20 designs currently printed, you will get loads of different stickers! If you're already donating, next time you do send along the proof and get a sticker pack from us!

This way we can spread some love, some joy, and some beautiful propaganda for you to share with your friends or just your neighborhood, while you can support Gazans in their struggle for survival. Gazans are our siblings, our comrades, and fellow members of our murder.

Every life saved is a whole world rescued. Solidarity forever.
