Why now?

We are many years into a loneliness epidemic and the only sure way through and out is finding more ways to connect with folks. Relationships compose our worlds but so many relationships are trapped in colonial and capitalist ways of relating where transactional engagement is encouraged and where social borders cut us off from one another.

Increasing hopelessness paired with immersion in our devices can make us feel so stuck that we can’t even begin to imagine our way through together. We are wary of new people in our (sometimes self-)imposed isolation.

The aim of our invitation is to deepen collective mutuality and connections because we know that when we feel more connected and a sense of belonging; our capacities increase, propelling us to show up and do and be more in the now, and into the future.
