Podcast Double Feature

I know what you're thinking: I just don't have enough of Vicky's voice in my life. Sure, she posts like a madwoman on various social networks but that's just not enough, I want her long-form talking points and I want them NOW!
Girl, I don't know if that's a super healthy way of moving through the world, but I got you. In the last weeks I have had two podcast appearances, each focused on thinking through the current moment and the tactical and strategic possibilities in the face of fascist counterrevolution.
The first, an appearance on Death Panel, is called "Deny, Defend, Depose: Health Struggle after Luigi Mangione". A recording of our session at Socialism Conference from the beginning of July, I pose the question whether we can see the assassination of Brian Thompson as an act of care. But my provocations are grounded in the deep, thoughtful analyses given by Bea and Artie, invaluable contributions to understanding the current terrain in the struggle for health autonomy.
The second, "Big Beautiful Social War: Six Months into Trump 2.0", is from The Beautiful Idea Podcast, and features an incredibly stacked series of interviews about the current moment. The episode features Silky Shah, Jessica Pishko, and Kristian Williams, brilliant writers and activists who offer invaluable analyses of ICE, immigration detention, policing, counter-insurgency and fascist spectacle, and I'm honored to have been included with them in the episode. My interview focuses on the broad strategic political situation, pulling forward analyses I offered here in CAW in April with my essays Fascism Minus Kampf and On Rubicons Crossed. The episode offers a wide ranging view of the current state of repression, policing and abolitionist movement.
Enjoy! And subscribe to both of these excellent podcasts if you don't already!
